is our shot of M45, the Pleiades, with the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. The
telescope used was our Orion 80ED APO refractor on a Meade LXD55 mount.
The image has been drastically reduced from its original 10-megapixel
size for display on this web page. Some vignetting is visible on the
right side of the cropped and reduced image below as we did not use a
flat field (oops!). We were quite happy that some nebulosity showed up.
Unlike most of our other images, this image is not a stack. Rather, it
is a single, 15-minute manually guided exposure and thus the background
noise level is higher due to the lack of stacked images
